01About YouNu

YouNu ("we," "our," or "us") is a self-reflection conversational mirror application that helps users explore their thoughts, feelings, and perspectives through reflective dialogue. YouNu is available as a browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, and Brave, as well as a mobile-optimized Progressive Web App (PWA).

YouNu does not provide therapy, medical advice, crisis intervention, or professional counseling. It is a personal reflection tool only. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or emergency services.

02Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or signing in using Google Sign-In, you confirm that you:

• Are at least 16 years of age (or the minimum digital consent age in your jurisdiction)
• Have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service
• Agree to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference
• Consent to your conversations being used to improve and train the AI model that powers YouNu

Your continued use of YouNu following any updates to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

03Your Account

YouNu uses Google Sign-In for account creation and authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized access to your account.

You may only create one account per person. Accounts are non-transferable.

04Use of the Service

You agree to use YouNu only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• Use YouNu to harass, harm, or threaten others
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the AI model or platform
• Submit false, misleading, or illegal content
• Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the service
• Circumvent security measures or access controls

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms without notice.

05AI-Powered Interactions & Training

YouNu is powered by an AI language model. By using the service, you understand and agree that:

• Conversations you have with YouNu may be used to train, improve, and refine the AI model
• AI responses are generated and may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate
• YouNu may use information from your profile and conversation history to personalize reflective responses
• You should not rely on YouNu for decisions of medical, legal, financial, or psychological significance

By signing in and using the app, you implicitly consent to this use of your conversation data for AI training purposes.

06Conversations & Journals

YouNu stores your conversation history and any optional journal entries you create. This data is retained securely for as long as your account is active, or until you choose to delete it.

• You may request a download of all your data at any time from within the app
• Upon account deletion, all associated conversation history, journal entries, and personal data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days
• Deletion is irreversible — we strongly recommend downloading your data before deleting your account

07Payments & Token Credits

YouNu offers a free tier with an initial token allocation upon registration. Additional usage may be purchased on a pay-as-you-go basis via Stripe, our payment processor.

• All payments are processed securely by Stripe — YouNu does not store your payment card information
• Token purchases are non-refundable once consumed
• Unused tokens do not expire but may be forfeited upon account deletion
• Pricing is subject to change with reasonable notice

08Intellectual Property

The YouNu name, logo, design, and software are the intellectual property of YouNu and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

The content you create — including journal entries and conversation inputs — remains yours. You grant YouNu a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and use that content solely to provide and improve the service, including AI training as described in Section 5.

09Disclaimer of Warranties

YouNu is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI responses will be accurate or suitable for any purpose.

10Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, YouNu and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to emotional distress, data loss, or reliance on AI-generated content.

11Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, followed by binding arbitration if necessary.

12Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We may also notify you via email or an in-app notice for significant changes. Your continued use of YouNu after such changes constitutes your acceptance.
